I recently wrote about a fundraising event I was chairing for a group I belong to, the Sertoma Club of Greater Sarasota. The event, the Sertoma Sarasota Celebrity Roast, this year featured Florida Senator Mike Bennett. As "RoastMaster" for the night, I am pleased to say it was a rousing success, and we raised over $20,000 to assist children with speech and hearing challenges.
The video you are watching was provided by Ramba Consulting Group of Tallahassee, and features a couple of our roasters, Senators Garrett Richter and Nancy Detert. We used this video to introduce Senator Bennett, and it was a great way to start the evening. Plus, it gives us a glimpse into how laws are really made in Florida! (and yes, I did manage to get in a dig about SB 668, the dead on arrival physician dispensing bill)
